Novels is a course based on Indiana’s Academic Standards for English/Language Arts and emphasizes the High School Literature Standard. Students examine novels of a given period, such as Victorian, the Modern Period or Contemporary Literature, and what distinguishes novels from short stories, epics, romances, biographies, science fiction and others. Students analyze novels in a given time period or across time periods or covering a particular theme.
