Highlighting a Successful Year: Part 1
Our students and staff at Achieve Virtual have had an incredible year. I’d like to take this time highlight some of the wonderful things going on in our classes this year. Meet some of our teachers and the unique learning experiences going on in their courses. In part 1 of this mini blog series, learn how three of our instructors are encouraging collaboration and community in their courses.
Mr. Wheeler – World Language Department
Our American Sign Language teacher, Mr. Wheeler is another teacher who utilizes collaborative tools like discussion forums to help students develop a community of learners among their peers. Here at Achieve, students do not move through their courses with little interaction. They work closely with their classmates and teachers to learn in a collaborative environment. Mr. Wheeler has the students discussing their reading and other content weekly with each other. The learning experience is enhanced because students are working together.
