Creative Writing provides students with ample opportunities to combine literary creativity with the discipline of written discourse. The concept of manipulating language to convey ideas, feelings, moods and visual images is the basis of the course.
Students become familiar with standard literary elements through reading and studying published prose and poetry and learn to use those elements in their own writing. Additionally, students learn strategies for evaluating and responding to their own writing and the writing of others.
